First day of Filming

The first day of filming for our music video consisted of the shots of Shelby looking "unpopular" to prepare for that I helped get Shelby ready. I provided the props and costume for Shelby's character, she wore no makeup as we decided that an unpopular pupil would be less likely to wear make up. I was in charge of her outfit so I decided on giving her a long floral "granny" dress and I did her hair so that she had two high pigtails and she wore glasses to complete the look. This look was created with the use of certain with certain key words in mind: unpopular, unfashionable, childish and outcast.

When filming started we did some shots of Shelby and me in school showing us as friends, this will mostly be used as extra footage in case of an emergency as Eastbrook schools interior is not the best and we didn't like the backgrounds of these shots. We used a variety of different shots incorporating close ups and mid shots. We did some performance based shots of Shelby against a black and white backgrounds. We also did some shots showing Shelby's character getting bullied in order to properly establish her as an "unpopular" kid. We did some shots of her doing maths equations and getting paper thrown at her head, and a shot of Shelby being pushed over this shows her as the target of bullying.

Later that say we changed location and we filmed in Shelby's bedroom to shoot the make over scene. In this Scene I do Shelby's make up showing her transformation from "unpopular" to "cool kid". At this stage Shelby has her makeup done nicely and changes into a more fashionable red dress.
