This was a video with me and shelby lip-syncing to Sonny and Cher "I got you babe".
In this task we had to sing in order to properly sync up the lip-syncing to the vocals on the track. We also had to keep our actions fairly the same throughout the takes in order to seamlessly transition and keep continuity e.g. reaching with the same hand in each shot.
We used five different take using five different shots. Shot one focused on shelby singing. Shot two focused on me singing. Shot three a low angle shot. Shot four a locked off mid shot. Shot five a dolly shot this added motion to out video.
Using multiple takes allowed us for a more interesting video as we could use a variety of different shots. The multiple footage also allowed for us to cover up any mistakes with the other footage.
When editing we used a slightly different technique than we had used before instead of having the footage all in one layer we used multiple layers which was easier to match up the lip-syncing.
We struggled quite a bit with filming this video as I am a lot shorter than Shelby so framing was a problem at times as I was often too short to be in frame because of this we came up with the idea to have me stand on a chair to add height to me so there was less of an issue with framing. Some of the shots as effective as others the low angle shot didn't really make sense in the contact of the lip-syncing.
