My production team

This post is to give some details about me and my team who will be working to complete the task described in the brief this year at A2.

My team consists of (in order from left to write in the picture):
Me (Sarah Warren)- I will be helping to plan and edit the final product. Also for the filming filming process I will be staring in the video. My strengths are generating ideas, planning the best possible routes to efficiently make the video, designing and  planning costume, settings and props. My taste in music is usually Indie rock, Indie pop and alternative rock.

Louis Russell- His role will be filming, directing and editing. He doesn't really have a particular genre of music that he listens to usually preferring to listen to music in the top 40 charts. 

Shelby Poll- Her role will be helping to organizing and plan the final video. She will aslo be staring in the video. Her strengths idea generating and acting. Her taste of music is R&B, Hip/Hop, Rap , House and Garage.

Brief

In this post I will be explaining my A2 brief. For this unit of work we will be exploring the music industry and be doing tasks related to building skills to creating a final music video for our coursework. 

Your task is to produce:

A music ‘promo’ video

Up to 5 minutes

Either working on your own or in a group of up to four members

You also need to produce:

A ‘digipak’ (Six panels) for its release on CD

A magazine advertisement for the digipak

In addition to your ‘promo’ video you will have to produce:

A critical evaluation

Welcome to my A2 Media Studies blog.

I will be using this blog to help me create and document my journey as I begin to make a promotional package for a new music artist or band. The ways that I am going to be doing this is by making content such as music videos for the new artist/band. As I said this blog will help me to keep track of my progress as I research into the ways that I can make my content successful, plan, contrast and evaluate my final A2 portfolio. By using a blog for my AS coursework in year 12 I have learned about the process of blogging and so I feel that this time around my blog will be even more successful as I have been able to learn from previous blogging experiences.
